The gospel is the good news of salvation which God provides for sinners through the finished work of Jesus Christ. In the proclamation of the good news, God has made known to guilty sinners that Jesus Christ is the only Savior and Redeemer. The declaration of this gospel is made by sounding for the significance of the life and teaching, the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ.
Conservative theology rooted in the infallible Word of God
Evangelical means that we identify with the conservative theological tradition in Protestant Christianity, which exalts the Gospel as the only way of salvation. Evangelicalism stresses the need for personal conversion or being "born again", the importance of evangelism, a high regard for Biblical authority, and an emphasis on the historic fundamental doctines of the Christian faith, such as those articulated in the Apostles' Creed. Five key doctrines affirmed by evangelicals include:
- The inerrancy of the Scriptures;
- The virgin birth of Christ;
- The substitutionary atonement;
- The bodily resurrection of Christ;
- The reality of the miracles of Christ
